COMPANY INTRO

The H Collective (THC) is an independent production company with a focus on the strategic development, production and financing of high-quality, multi-platform entertainment franchises for a global audience. THC has signed a deal with Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions to distribute and market up to four films a year. On August 1, 2019, Rakuten and The H Collective announced the signing of an agreement to establish Rakuten H Collective Studio, Inc., a joint venture movie production company, in Japan. Rakuten H Collective Studio will engage in the in-house production of films, financing, intellectual property management, and the production and sale of video content on a variety of platforms.

SONG

"A Children's Song" is a story about the binding power of music as a universal language that takes us from modern day Shanghai back to a little-known chapter in the history of World War II, when the Chinese people of Shanghai provided a safe haven to more than 20,000 European Jewish refugees. Its key creative talents range from SID GANIS & NANCY HULT GANIS (producers), ROBERT NELSON JACOBS (writer), ULI EDEL (director) to international stars like LEAH DOU (leading actress).

This film will be shot in both China and Germany, and then released in the US and internationally, including China market. Our potential American distributors are Sony Pictures and Searchlight Pictures, and potential Chinese distributors currently include Tencent-backed Chinese movie ticketing and distribution platform, Maoyan, and the third largest film distributor in China, Beijing Enlight Media.

WRONG TURN

Wrong Turn (also known as Wrong Turn: The Foundation) is a film that THC invests in and collaborates on with Constantin Film. It's directed by Mike P. Nelson and written by Alan McElroy. The film is a reboot and the seventh installment of the Wrong Turn film series. The film stars Charlotte Vega, Adain Bradley, Dylan McTee, Daisy Head, Emma Dumont, and Bill Sage. It is an international co-production between the United States, Germany and Canada. Principal photography began on September 9, 2019 in Ohio and wrapped on November 2. Wrong Turn is scheduled to be released on January 26, 2021, by Saban Films.

Logline: A close-knit group of friends hiking the Appalachian Trail are confronted by 'The Foundation', a community of people who have lived in the mountains for hundreds of years and don't take well to strangers.

CRYPTOZOOLOGIST

“Cryptozoologist” will be a special effects drive, fantasy action-adventure in the tone of Fantastic Beasts and Where to find them, The Lord of The Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia, etc. It will be a global film that combines Chinese elements and a western narrative. All the creatures will be based on the classic Chinese mythical text of The Classics of Mountain and Seas.

Logline: An American scientist that specializes in proving the existence of mythological creatures is summoned to China to track down a fire-breathing beast that has been viciously terrorizing a small village.

Her legendary adventure to Hollywood in her earlier years and her inspirational character deserve a feature-length movie. This documentary is a tribute to this respectable artist in her late years as well as an inspiration to younger filmmakers who are in pursuit of their film dreams.

Attend meetings and work closely with writers, producers, directors, lawyers and third-party production entities that THC partners with
Reach out to consultants, agencies and management companies to seek suitable talents for our projects
Logistics: Liaison between multiple parties regarding meetings, updates, and staffing; handle phones, calendar and contact management; set up meetings, interviews and events

Create and maintain internal tracking of the workflow of projects in development and production
Review schedules, budgets and other relevant docs for projects that THC invests in to measure progress and give timely feedback
Go on-site with the producers and assist the production when the principal photography of projects is going on
Support the department in the day to day execution and production of projects

Read screenplays/novels/books and evaluate their potential to be turned into profitable motion picture content (feature films, television series, documentaries) and other IP derivatives (music, games, toys, merchandises, etc.)
Conduct research and write reports on casting choices, potential directors and producers, potential distributors, competitor analysis, market research, and other project-related subjects
Create the company’s project deck and publicity materials (script coverages, pitch deck, projects slate, production timelines, business plans, etc.)
